The list will be updated with even more titles both because I’m a glutton for punishment, and because I’m always discovering (or remembering) books I want to read that need to be added.īooks are organized alphabetically by year published.

Speaking of reviews, you’ll also find links to reviews I write up of some of the books if you’re interested in my opinion of the book. If you’re interested in reading any of these books I shared a buy it now button to Amazon, which is also a great place to read reviews on any of the books listed. You’ll notice a good deal of psychology, philosophy and science books on the list. Some of the books on the list are books I’ve read in the past, but want to read again to see if I glean anything new from them now that I’m older and hopefully wiser. Many were recommendations from friends or books that won some kind of award. This list contains both fiction and nonfiction selections I’m interested in reading for one reason or another. That’s something I wasn’t expecting, but made me even more excited to read some of these books. What amazed me the most is just by creating this list I gained quite a bit of inspiration and historical insight. Inspired by Peter Boxall’s 1001 Books: You Must Read Before You Die, at the beginning of 2018 I decided to create my own list of books to read.
